Chinook Helicopter: There is news going on in the media that the Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) had installed the Chinook helicopter model in Lucknow during the Defense Expo 2020 and that model is now missing. Giving information on this, DRDO said that these reports are baseless, because DRDO has never installed any helicopter model in Lucknow.
In fact, a shocking incident had come to light yesterday from the capital Lucknow city, where a combat helicopter (Chinook) made in the Defense Research and Development Organization was displayed during the defense expo. This helicopter has disappeared. However, now DRDO has given clarification on this matter.
The Municipal Corporation was responsible for the model of Chinook helicopter.
During the Defense Expo in the year 2020, DRDO had put a model of Chinook helicopter made from scrap for display near the entry gate. At the expo, visitors also took selfies with this model of helicopter. Even after the expo was over, the helicopter remained standing here on a strong iron platform. The responsibility for this was with the Municipal Corporation.
There is news circulating that DRDO had installed Chinook Helicopter Model at Lucknow during DefExpo 2020 and Model is now missing. This information is misleading as DRDO has never installed any Helicopter Model at Lucknow anytime

Complaint was filed 1 year ago
It is noteworthy that, a written complaint about the disappearance of this helicopter was made to Kalyan Banerjee, Joint Secretary of the Urban Development Department, in April 2023. After which the matter came to light. After this, the Municipal Corporation officials were asked where the helicopter had gone, during which the Zonal Secretary of the Municipal Corporation had given a written reply that the helicopter had been sent for repair to the “Rubbish and Removable” workshop of the Municipal Corporation located at Gomti Nagar.
However, despite this it has still not been possible to find out where the helicopter went. Now the Municipal Corporation has maintained complete silence on this matter.
